First McDonald's Visit

All parents are excited when their child hits their milestones. First time sleeping through the night, sitting up by themselves, eating solid foods, crawling, walking etc. Jack hit a milestone today that is probably #1 in my book. As most of you know, I love food!! I love to watch Food Network, I love to cook and most of all I LOVE TO EAT! My day is not complete unless I've learned a new recipe or tried something for the first time. So today when I realized Jack and I needed to get something to eat after jump and gym and before we ran errands it thrilled me to know that I would be taking Jack to McDonalds for the first time! I remember going to Mickey D's as a child, the warm salty taste of the fries, the yummy cheeseburgers with the awesome pickles:) I remember the playgrounds we used to play at , after we were done eating of course. So bringing my son to his first McDonalds experience almost brought a tear to my eye. He enjoyed his Happy Meal with a cheeseburger and apple slices. I love that there are "healthy" choices! He enjoyed some fries while watching and waving at people. A little girl came by, rubbed Jack 's head and said, "Oh a baby, I like babies." She so reminded me of myself at that age. Needless to say it was a monumental day in my mommy universe.
