Bedner's Farm

Being from farm country USA I couldn't stomach bringing my child to a church to choose a pumpkin out of a pile. So Nick, Jack and I ventured a little north to Bedner's farm to pick the perfect pumpkin. We rode a "hay" ride (we sat on benches and there was hay on the ground), looked at the u-pick veggies they are growing and went to a "field" to choose pumpkins. I miss the days of going into a Hoekstra field or cut off school bus to pick out the perfect "FREE" pumpkins, but this was close. It was a beautiful Florida day and we had a fun time as a family.

Having FUn in our NEW HOUSE!!!

We closed on our home September 7th. We have been busy painting, organizing, painting, cleaning, painting, etc etc... You get the point. Jack is LOVING the freedom a large house brings. We can even ride his bikes around the house!!!! Needless to say we are finding interesting things to do to occupy our time. Painting the fence (and painting it again when it dries) is something we like to do outside. Hiding in the cabinet is something Jack discovered the other day. I love the big smile on his face!

One of the highlights of going to Illinois this summer was visiting Aunt Linda and Uncle Phil's (DeeDee Duck and Papa Duck's) boat for a couple days. Jack caught fish, swam in the lake and most of all spent time with some of his cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. It is special moments like these that we cherish and remember for ever. Thank you for a wonderful time everyone!!!!!

Fair Oaks Cow Farm, Indiana

DeeDee, Jack and mommy took a trip to Fair Oaks Cow Farm in Indiana. Jack learned how they milk 3,000 cows a day!!! We also enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches and ice cream that is made from the milk they get from the cows at the farm.
